Adoption Waiting:
Anxiety, Intensity, Triumph!
The AWAIT! waiting families support and sharing group is designed to allow equal sharing of adoption experiences and leads within the group. A teamwork atmosphere helps all remain focused on the goal of building friends and families through adoption. The program offers each waiting family the option of a mentor who recently completed the adoption process.
SNAP
Support for New Adoptive Parents
SNAP provides an environment for parents of newly adopted children to meet the challenges of parenting and adoption issues through mutual support and shared information. The group explores topics such as child development, building new family traditions, self-care and coping skills, children’s activities and gear, and especially adoption centered themes like adoption finalization, post-placements visits, Birth-family communication, adoption stories, and more.
