AFFGS Camping Trip

August 3-5, 2012,  Friday-Sunday

Dungeness Recreation Area - near Sequim

Don't miss the Annual Camping Trip at Dungeness Spit from August 3-5 this year. This is such a great place to camp, even families new to camping love this spot. If you've not yet camped with your kids, this is an ideal opportunity. The group campsite has a large grassy area, making it easy for kids to run like crazy without having to worry about cars. There's a covered shelter with picnic tables, a playground, and bathrooms with warm showers close by. Perfect for families with infants through tweens and teens. Everyone goes for a walk on the beach on Saturday, and there's a potluck Saturday night.  Camping fee:$40/AFFGS family.  Non-campers are invited to join us for the day and potluck on Saturday. Bring a dish to share, something to barbeque and chairs/blanket.

Please send in this information to reserve a spot!

Just for Tweens (Age 10+)

Movie & Homemade custom pizzas

The kids will cook together, designing and consuming homemade custom pizzas, then watch the documentary movie “Off

and Running,” followed by snacks and conversation. The movie brings up a number of topics from searching for a birth-

parent to developing identity, domestic adoption and international adoption are present in this movie - all from the point of

view of the children.  This is an opportunity for 10+ kids to get together and talk about the issues unique to adoptive kids.

Bring a friend, or meet some new ones!  There will be parent chaperones present nearby.
